1.
WHO I AM

I’m a multi-hyphenate creative director, strategist, and storyteller. I work with global enterprises and startups in the space where strategy and visual design intersect with communication and emotion.

I’m a creative leader obsessed with building enduring customer relationships and better brand experiences through strategy, design, and creative storytelling.

WHAT I DO

Early in my career, I authored the global visual and brand design standards for Intel including multiple “Intel Inside” processor brands, which became ‘the’ case study for ingredient branding. I’ve done identity design for Cargill, American Heart, and Motorola. Packaging for Sudafed, Seagrams, and PepsiCo. Strategy and branding for The Venetian Resort and The Guggenheim Museum. Exhibit design for Audible, Cisco and SGI. Creative development for Disney and George Lucas. Experience design for Westfield to name just a few.

My work is always grounded in deep strategic research and thinking, followed by meticulous, thoughtful application.

I’ve been lucky to have been asked to help several pro bono organizations, notably in the children’s education and food insecurity spaces. Some of these non-profits include Junior Achievement, The Gladstone Institute, The San Francisco Food Bank, and Yosemite National Institutes/NatureBridge.

I’ve worked for design studios and advertising agencies like Hill Holliday—where I was SVP of Design, consulting firms like IDEO and Prophet, as well as numerous Fortune 100 clients directly. Now most of my time is devoted to creating a new “active lifestyle, five-star casual” cruise brand as part of a senior-level development team.

DETAILS

I’m insatiably curious and more than a little obsessed with technology, photography, and art. I spend way too much time feeding my curiosity on YouTube. I cook - a lot - and consider myself a damn good pizza maker and barbecuer - and a KCBS Certified Competition BBQ Judge.

I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and have taught at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, CA.
